Uniform policy.

Our uniform policy is driven by a desire to create and promote an environment of God-centered learning based on the following principles:

  • Our goal is to honor God in all we do, acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus Christ in our choices.

  • Inherent in the uniform policy is a desire to create an environment where undue attention is not drawn to specific scholars. The uniform policy de-emphasizes the social impact of dress and helps focus attention on character and academic issues. The neat appearance created by a uniform enhances a ready-to-learn atmosphere.

  • The uniform policy addresses security. On field trips, students in uniform aid the teachers in keeping track of everyone. On the playground or in the building, faculty and staff can clearly identify Knox scholars from outsiders.

  • Uniforms help engender a cohesive presentation of those in our program. When wearing the Knox uniform, it helps us feel as though we are on the same team, striving for excellence in all we do.
